PIAZZA DEI MESTIERI | Mao | Grafeco.
Quella di Piazza dei Mestieri è una scuola di avviamento professionale per giovani ragazzi che vivono situazioni difficili o disagiate. L’aspetto interessante della scuola è che al suo interno sono presenti ristorante, pub e birreria che sono aperte al pubblico, e in cui gli stessi studenti fanno stage o lavorano. L’edificio in cui è ospitata la scuola è una ex-conceria di 7.000 mq con una grande corte interna: proprio in quest’area si inserisce l’intervento del gruppo di designer MA0. Dopo l’ascolto degli studenti, realizzato tramite un pannello dove si potevano attaccare proposte scritte su post’it (Propost’it), i designer hanno progettato e realizzato con Grafeco delle sedute modulari a forma di boe di materiale traslucido, componibili, che possono diventare un punto di ritrovo e, se riempiti d’acqua o di liquidi colorati, possono diventare tavolini con il sostegno di un ombrellone.
Piazza dei Mestieri is a professional training school made for young people who live in difficult or diseased situations. The interesting feature of the school is that includes a restaurant and a pub opened to the public where the students themselves make stages or work. The building hosting the school is an ex-tannery of 7000sqm with a large courtyard: exactly in this area is inserted the project of designers group MA0. After listening to the students’ ideas, through a panel on which they could hang their proposals written on Post’it (Propost’it), designers have projected and realized with Grafeco some modular sittings buoy shaped in a translucent material, that can be a location for meeting and, if filled with water or coloured liquids, they can become little tables with the support of a beach umbrella.
